What is The School Of Embodiment?
Oct 17, 2025What is the School of Embodiment?
Embodiment is a path of fully inhabiting our humanity and divinity. One of the central inspirations behind the school is Craig Holliday, who offers a beautifully potent phrase: “Fully human, fully divine.”
In many contemporary spiritual settings, there’s a tendency to aim straight for the divine — the love, the light, the bliss — while denying or bypassing the darker, more uncomfortable aspects of being human.
But for many spiritual seekers, the path inevitably leads into the depths — what is often called the “dark night of the soul.”
The school is for those that know this dark night experience, not necessarily for those that are familiar with Christian literature, but for those that are familiar with the raw, messy, and deeply human parts of the journey.
At the School of Embodiment, we offer classes, courses, workshops, retreats, and teacher trainings to support this profound descent into human life.
We do not turn away. We invite the courage to descend into the dense, tender, bony reality of this body — and to stay there, to bathe in the dark, for as long as it takes.
So that the light we are can shine, not just in spite of the darkness, but through it.
