Dear friends,

I'm currently sitting here in our cozy and serene café after closing, drinking in the silence and the energy of the space, and the thought has come strongly to put on an event called “Silence & Soup.”

I feel this will appeal to a very specific type of person — someone who enjoys and savours the simplicity of Being.

For me, there is nothing more enjoyable or nourishing than simply Being, drinking in the waves of silence that move through my body as I sit.

There is something quite wonderful and quietly intoxicating about gathering as a group without needing to talk, perform, or be anything other than how we are.

So this evening will be unlike any other event, because we will be doing exactly Nothing.

For 45 minutes, we will sit together in silence — no special positions, just gathering in the café as we normally would. Some gentle music will be playing.

After the 45 minutes, we will pass around some butternut squash soup with sourdough, then eat and continue sitting for as long as we feel called.

At 8pm, I will ring a bell, and we will leave in Silence.

So, if you are one of the ones who enjoys their own inner quietude, please do attend, let us grow this field of Presence together!

Please book tickets here in advance to avoid us having to communicate and work the till when you arrive.

With love,
Chris & The School of Embodiment Team.
