It's a crazy time to be alive. Most people's nervous systems are in overdrive. The smartphone, the relentless pace, the trauma, pain and conditioning we all pick up along the way - it can feel impossible to fully unwind, to have that deep settling and relaxing that we're all so hungry for.

This is an opportunity to go deeply into yourself. Guided into a deep state of meditation, you'll experience a quality of rest and presence that is not only deeply nourishing and enjoyable — it will also begin to retrain your nervous system to live in a more open, rested state long after the retreat has ended.

Having both struggled with intense stress and anxiety earlier in life, we have a deep passion for helping people find freedom and peace — that deep rest and inner smile that so many of us are longing for.

Unlike shorter classes and workshops, a full day retreat gives you the space to really settle. To drop in. Whatever you experience during this deep dive will carry forward into your life.

Through guided meditations, gentle yin yoga, yoga nidra, and healing talks and Q&As, you'll also walk away with real tools for regulating your nervous system going forward.

Your Guides

Chris West MA

Chris brings a wealth of experience and a compassionate teaching style to hold you in a safe and nourishing space for this day of deep rest and inner work.

Chris holds a Master's Degree in Psychology with a focus on Mindfulness-Based Approaches and has trained under some of the world's most renowned and gifted meditation teachers. His approach uniquely blends Western psychological insights with Eastern mindfulness and meditation practices — creating the ideal conditions for your nervous system to truly rest, reset and restore.

As a teacher and guide, Chris has helped hundreds of individuals in both one-on-one and group settings discover a profound sense of peace, ease and a deeper connection to their bodies and themselves. Whether you're completely new to meditation or have an existing practice, Chris will meet you exactly where you are.

 Sion Jones 

SiĂ´n is a yoga and mindfulness teacher with years of experience creating spaces where people feel held, at ease and able to truly let go.

With 9 years of teaching, he leads in-person and online courses including his much-loved 8-week mindfulness program in Stroud, as well as yoga retreats across the UK and Europe. His work has been featured on S4C, BBC Radio Cymru and BBC News, a testament to his depth of knowledge and heartfelt passion for this work.

Rooted in deep personal practice and years of travelling and studying around the world, SiĂ´n's teaching style is warm, grounded and accessible to all.

Our schedule for the day:

10–11am — Opening Talk & Introductions

Chris and Siôn will open the day sharing from their own personal journeys — the struggles, the breakthroughs, and what actually works when it comes to resting and regulating the nervous system.

This isn't a lecture. It's a warm, honest conversation, and a chance for the group to meet, settle in, and share where you are right now and what you're hoping to find in the day ahead.

11- 11:45am: Embodied Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a very gentle practice of yoga, designed to bring deep relaxation and healing to the body and mind! Sion leads this in a deeply embodied way, meaning as you practice he will be somatically guiding you into the felt sense of the inner body, and all the sensations that it holds. This practice builds a deep connection to the body, you come out of the thinking mind, and drop deeper into a state of Being.

12 - 12:30: Dropping Into Being - Guided Meditation with Chris

As the morning settles and the group energy begins to gather, we drop in.

Through the body, through whatever is alive in the nervous system right now, Chris will guide you deeply into yourself, and through yourself, into the simple, open depths of Being.

No effort. No fixing. Just Sweet, Sweet Being.

From here, we breathe that deep sigh of relief — ahhh — the freedom and rest of your True Heart.

12:30 - 1:30pm - Healthy Lunch - Soup & Sourdough

During the lunch break, the meditation continues in an effortless, gentle way. Whilst talking, eating, drinking and lounging in our cosy café area, we'll be softly encouraging you to stay connected to your body and inner experience.

There is something truly special about discovering what it feels like to move through life in a meditative state. To notice how you relate to others, to your food, to your surroundings, all through the lens of Presence.

Held by our favourite meditation music and a warm, unhurried atmosphere... lunch might just turn out to be the most deeply nourishing part of the day.

 
1:30 - 2:30pm - Meditation and Meeting In Freedom Exploration with Chris

Those who have sat with Chris before will know that there is something beautifully alive and spontaneous about the way he works. Following the energy of the group the session unfolds in a way that feels natural and deeply responsive to what's needed.

Through guided enquiries, meditations and intimate 1-1 explorations, you'll be gently invited to meet yourself in a place beyond the noise - the place of inner freedom and peace that is already within you.

Everything Chris shares comes not from a textbook, but from over a decade of lived, personal commitment to this path of awakening.

2:30 - 3pm - Deep Rest Yoga Nidra with Sion

Yoga Nidra is often described as the art of conscious sleep, and there is truly nothing quite like it for restoring the nervous system at the deepest level.

Lying down in total comfort, SiĂ´n will guide you into a state of profound rest where the body becomes completely still whilst awareness remains gently awake. Moving through deep layers of relaxation, tension held in the muscles, mind and nervous system begins to simply dissolve.

It is said that a single Yoga Nidra session can deliver rest equivalent to several hours of sleep — leaving you feeling spacious, soft and deeply replenished from the inside out.

 
3 - 3:45pm - Open Discussion and Q&A & Closing Circle

 

As the day draws to a close, we come together to share, reflect and integrate everything that has been experienced.

This is a spacious, open time to ask any questions that have arisen throughout the day, share what has moved or shifted in you, and hear from others in the group.

Chris and SiĂ´n will be on hand to offer guidance, clarity and support as you begin to think about how to carry this quality of presence and rest back into your everyday life.

3:45 - 4pm - Gentle Guitar Immersion

You will finish the day completely letting go into a gentle acoustic guitar performance.
